Jonathan graduated from the University of Florida in 1995 with a Bachelor
of Arts degree in English. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 1999
from Nova Southeastern University, and was a Pro Bono Honor Silver Award
winner, for his work in assisting abused women and children in obtaining
injunctions (restraining orders), against their attackers. While in law
school, Jonathan interned with the Staff Attorneys for the 17th Judicial
Circuit of Broward County, Florida.
Upon graduation, Jonathan was hired as an associate attorney by a Fort Lauderdale law firm. He gained experience in many areas of law, including complex commercial matters, insurance coverage disputes, employment law, education law, contract disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, and premises liability matters.
Jonathan was then recruited to work for a large international firm in Miami, focusing on the representation of large corporations and insurance companies handling, personal injury claims, coverage disputes, and construction defect claims.
In 2003, Jonathan opened the Law Offices of Jonathan Yellin and Alyson & Yellin, LLP. His firm’s practice was diverse, litigating extensively in a variety of practice areas which included commercial disputes, real estate litigation, probate litigation, labor and employment matters, personal injury law, internet law, community association law and Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DirecTV and RIAA litigation). Jonathan first-chaired several bench and jury trials.
Jonathan joined the firm in 2007. He practices in the commercial
litigation department, focusing on construction litigation, real
estate litigation, complex commercial disputes and representation
of community associations. Jonathan is admitted in all Florida
state and federal courts.
