Jose M. Sanchez is a highly experienced commercial litigation attorney with a strong background in business-related transactions who helps clients develop effective strategies for achieving their goals. His legal experience encompasses a broad range of matters, including contract law, franchising, commercial leasing, non-compete agreements, employment contracts, and litigation in civil, commercial, corporate, debtor-creditor, and real estate law, including appellate practice.
As a former in-house corporate and litigation counsel, Sanchez has an in-depth understanding of many types of business, real estate and leasing agreements. He also spent two years as a federal staff attorney for the Pro Se Civil Rights and Habeas Corpus Division of the U.S. District Court Southern District of Florida.
A native South Floridian, Sanchez graduated from Florida International University with his bachelor of science degree in 1990, and earned his juris doctorate from St. Thomas University Law School in 1993. He is admitted to practice in the Florida courts and in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, and has appeared as pro hac vice counsel in several U.S. District Courts throughout the country.
